Online mobile recharge service provider, FreeCharge who is facing huge competition from PayTm has launched the MasterCard facility prior to its competitor. The service to create the free virtual card is an introductory concept in India and was offered by HDFC Bank only earlier. Now the bank is going to have a bit of competition from the recharge providing portal, FreeCharge. FreeCharge was recently acquired by Snapdeal in order to expand its operations. The portal was the first portal in India to provide the equal value coupons of the transaction value for free.
To get the virtual card from FreeCharge, all you need is to log in to your existing account and go to the URL https://account.freecharge.in/app/wallet/virtualCard afterward you will see the option to create a request for the pre-approval to get access to the online portal. It will take around 5 mins to get it approved. Afterwards, you can create the virtual cards on the go.

The second important part is, this card will take the verification through one-time password; which has proven to be one of the safest and secure methods to prevent yourself from online frauds.
It was written that ‘The FreeCharge Go MasterCard is your secure virtual card linked to your FreeCharge Balance, which you can use to shop and pay online anywhere in India.’ However the card provided by HDFC bank is valid throughout the world and international card.
