Now, coming to overseas collections then, the movie minted more than $2.8 million which approximates to Rs. 18.71 cr till Saturday including all the major markets across the globe like the USA, Canada, UAE-GCC, Pakistan, and the UK. This figure is mentioned by Taran too.
On Saturday, due to partial holiday in India, the film directed by Imtiaz Ali managed to cross the mark of 60% occupancy on an average at single screens as well as multiplexes.
On a total of about 2100 screen at domestic level, the flick released on 27th November 2015. Talking about its business only in India then, the newest production of Sajid Nadiadwala managed to rake in Rs. 13.17 cr as confirmed by Taran Adarsh on its second day. It made a total of Rs. 24.04 cr in first two days at business.
Tamasha broke the overseas collections record of Yeh Jawan Hai Deewani and raked in Rs. 50 cr as the worldwide boxoffice collection in just two days. However, if failed to break the opening records at the domestic box office of Ranbir’s earlier movies like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Besharam. Thus, it looks like that the movie will do increment in its business on Sunday.
