Pink movie was made with a budget of 23 crores. As already said, everyone was waiting for Banjo rather than Pink, but they ended up watching Pink later as Banjo didn’t reach to everyone’s expectations. Pink has already made 200% profits at the box office. Banjo and Baar Baar Dekho didn’t stand a chance against Pink.
Since the film came out with no promotions and buzz, day 1 had an occupancy of 15% which was too low from the maker’s point of view. They at least expected the theaters to be partially full. Though the morning show and matinee shows didn’t have much of the audience, but there was a spike in the evening and night shows. As a result, Pink movie’s Friday collections ended at 4.32 crore nett.
On day 2, reviews and mouth reviews spread like a wildfire. Pink was called a film which shouldn’t be missed and even IMDB gave 9.2 rating for Pink. Critics gave heartwarming reviews for the film. All these paved the way for Pink movie box office success. On day 2, Pink movie did a business of 7.65 Crores. On day 3, which was Sunday, Pink managed to bag around 9.54 crores. By the end of the 1st weekend, Pink made a whopping 21.51 crores at the box office.
The occupancy increased by 70% on day 2 and day 3. Though there was a drop on 4th day, but it was steady. Pink did a business of 3. 78 crores and day 5, it made 3.51 crores and on day 6, it was 3.87 crores. By the end of 1st week, Pink did a business of 32. 67 crores in the domestic market.
Since there were no big releases in week 2, Pink went on hitting good numbers at the box office. By now, it was clear that Pink is the ultimate winner when compared to Raaz, Banjo and Parched. Many were even thinking of sending Pink to Oscars 2017.

On 2nd Friday, Pink bagged about 3.15 crores which was negligibly less when compared to 1st Friday collection. Saturday and Sunday collections were good. Day 9 and Day 10 went on collecting 5.49 crores and 6.57 crores. On day 11, Pink was still keeping its pace and managed to bag 1.98 crores followed by 1.62 crores on day 12. On day 13, which was the 2nd Wednesday, Pink cracked 1 crore at the box office. So by the end of 13 days, Total Box Office Collections of Pink ended at 55.72 crores.
