Uttama Villan has been selected for Los Angeles International Film Festival and the film has impressed the critics over there. The film bagged four awards for its technical brilliance and director Ramesh Aravind expressed his happiness for the happenings there. The movie is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam and it has been directed by Jeethu Joseph who directed the original version. Gauthami played the female lead in the movie and he has come up with Thoonga Vaanam which released on the eve of Diwali.
This intense thriller has been directed by Rajesh M Selva, who has been a long time associate of Kamal in his direction department. Trisha, Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj and Madhu Shalini played the other prominent roles in Thoonga Vaanam.
The movie has been declared as a super hit for its stuffing content and its gripping narration. Kamal penned the screenplay of the film which has been shot in 34 working days and during the nights. Kamal played a cop in the movie who is the head of Narcotics Department.
Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International produced the movie and the Telugu version Cheekati Raajyam is gearing up for release on November 20th all over. Kamal is currently busy promoting the movie in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
