Kadaikutty Singam has hit the theatres today, July 13, 2018. Let’s check how much collection it is going to do on its 1st day at the box office. It will be facing competition from Mohanlal’s Neerali in Tamil areas and Tamizh Padam 2 starring Shiva.
KS stars Karthi, Surya, Sayyeshaa Saigal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Arthana Binu, among others. In the Hindi speaking areas, it will have to compete with Sanju and Soorma. Also, there is a Hollywood release Ant-Man and the Wasp which has been released in four Indian languages.

Imman has composed the music for the film while Suriya Sivakumar has directed the flick. The movie has been a talk of the town since the release of its trailer. It has created a lot of hype among the filmgoers. The audience seems happy with the movie.
Its theme has been a village. KS is a family film but its story is not being appreciated much. It is being said that it features an old typical story which the moviegoers have been seeing for a very long time now.

Now, coming to the occupancy. It has got a good opening occupancy in the morning shows on Friday. Amidst an intense competition with Tamizh Padam 2, Kadaikutty Singam has started its journey on a good note. And it seems that it will run smoothly and successfully for the days to come.
TP2 is a sequel to Tamizh Padam which also starred Mirchi Shiva in the lead. The film has got a lot of imitations of many films. So, people are enjoying by watching it.
Manobala Vijayabalan, via a tweet, has said that it has received an exceptional response from the Tamil Nadu state. Tamizh Padam 2 collected Rs. 4.57 cr (gross) on its first day at business and became the third best opening in TN after Kaala and TSK.

Both the releases have been doing good so far. Their business will boost even further on the first weekend. TamizhPadam2 seems to have an upper hand by making 8.1 cr on the opening day while KadaikuttySingam has earned 7 crores on Friday.
