Windows 10 Mobile Update: With the handover of the Nokia-branded feature phone division from Microsoft Corporation to HMD Global, the fate of the most of the Lumia users, the biggest stakeholders when it comes to Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, hanged loosely.
The biggest shock till now struck last weekend when users were nowhere able to find Windows Update Adviser App on the windows store. It simply disappeared into thin air, taking away with it the only official way for users running on Win 8.1 to upgrade to latest Windows10.
Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile Update: Official Upgrade Still Available
The app was apparently released in 2015 and its main task was to keep looking for the updates and tell so to the user if one was available for the particular phone. The ensured a smoother transition for the users with an easy DIY style of procedures.

But the app somehow made an appearance on the store yesterday, pulling a full stop to the fans’ growing outrage. The app now officially available can easily be downloaded from the store and installed by anyone with a Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 device.
But all doesn’t seem well with the new app from the Redmond guys. The app actually is simply an advisor which tells you how and where to get your updates, if a version compatible with your device is available.
Even though the reappearance of the Windows Update Adviser App, the official way to upgrade your windows phone, brought back the relief to millions of outraged users, it was short lived when many of them had to deal with an error message something like this.
“The Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade isn’t available for your phone right now. We’re trying to determine if your phone can support Window 10.”
And the case becomes even more complicated given the fact that it includes many of the phone models for which the update was available through the platform.
Even though there is no official confirmation from the Microsoft Corporation till now, the rumors are ripe that the Upgrade Advisor app is going through a rough patch, the company have got plans to update it for the upcoming Window 10 Creators Update, which would only, unfortunately, be available only for a few selected category of users.

In another news, Microsoft released a new Windows 10 Mobile build 15205 today, marking it the latest one. It arrived alongside PC build 16179. However, it’s neither like Redstone 3 nor Redstone 2. It is something called as ‘feature2.’ We don’t know much about it yet.
