Singer Radhika Thilak Dies At 45 Due To Cancer

Radhika Thilak, the famous Malayalam playback singer died on Sunday after battling to cancer for over one and half years. She was also suffering from an injection which has worsened her situation and led to sudden death.

She debuted in the film industry with the light music and soon earned fame after appearing on Doordarshan. Have sung many songs for All India Radio programmes along with numerous devotional songs.

As of now, the popular singer has left her husband Suresh and daughter Devika behind.

Oomen Chandy, the Kerala CM shared this news on Twitter to offer his condolences.

 

Oscar Award winner Resul Pookutty also expressed his condolences on the micro-blogging site. Resul Pookutty, the academy award winner also shared his sorrow on Twitter. She has left Malayalam film fraternity in grief.

 

In her lifetime, she has sung 70 songs but those tracks has left an unerasable image in the industry. She loved to perform on stage.

Some of her well-known songs are, ‘Arunakirana deepam’ and ‘Deva sangeetham’ from Guru, ‘Maya manchalil’ from Ottayal Pattalam, ‘Kaithapoo manam’ from Sneham, ‘Thiruvathira thira nokkiya’ from Kanmadam, ‘Ente ulludukkum kotti’ and ‘Ninte kannil’ from Deepasthambham Mahascharyam.
