Libya Plan Hijack: A Libyan plane carrying 118 passengers has been hijacked and landed in Malta, forcefully as confirmed by the airline Afriqiyah Airways.
As per the reports of local media, the Airbus A320 was flying inside Libya for Afriqiyah Airways when it was hijacked and diverted to Malta.
There are two hijackers reported who have threatened to bomb the plane. As of now, they have withheld passengers with the plane with the threat of hand grenades.

As confirmed from the official Twitter handle, Malta Internationa Airport reported that they noticed an unlawful interference at the airport.
Thus, they have dispatched emergency teams.
A Reuters news agency photographer Darrin Zammit Lupi who is based in Malta has reported that he saw a number of soldiers and special forces vehicles at the scene.
After the hijack, some flights to Malta have been diverted to the Italian Island of Sicily.
