JIF peanut butter Refund: A nationwide outbreak forced JM Smucker to recall the entire peanut butter range for selected batch numbers. Consumers of JIF peanut butter are reportedly facing Salmonella Bacterial infections.
While the agencies are still in the investigation phase, CDC joined in today to determine the extent of the damage. All the products in the J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, Kentucky, are believed to be infected.
Most of the people who were admitted for Salmonella infection are found to have consumed JIF peanut butter. Four out of five people who fell ill today complained about consuming JIF peanut butter.

Around Fourteen to Fifteen illnesses have been reported so far, which includes 2 hospitalizations as well. There are no deaths reported at the moment.
“FDA conducted Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) analysis on an environmental sample collected at the Lexington, KY, J.M. Smucker Company facility in 2010. The analysis shows that this 2010 environmental sample matches the strain-causing illnesses in this current outbreak. Epidemiologic evidence indicates that Jif brand peanut butter produced in The J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, KY, is the likely cause of illnesses in this outbreak.”

Have 2 16oz jars.what do I do?
I have 4 lb can of jiff number is 127242502 is this bad?
We have multiple jars of the recalled Jif, and I did get sick with salmonella after eating from a jar about 14 days ago. I still have the opened jar that I believe made me sick if that helps. How do we get our products exchanged? So sorry Jif has to go through this hassle. Love your products! Hang in there guys!
