Salman is well known for creating a true hype on Bollywood screens for his acting. Having one of the most loyal fan bases in Industry, The film didn’t face any difficulty in creating a strong opening. Around 4500 screens conspiracies of the theaters in India while 1100 was the number overseas. The response of the audience was very well minted into money terms by the marketing agencies.
Sale of broadcasting rights was also a big positive for the stars. According to reports, Just from the sale of rights the talkie producers had got a substantial part paid back. Over the period of twelve days, Sultan collection was successful in beating many existing records of Bollywood.
Eid’s moon is always lucky for Salman from last two years. Last year also Eid fell just a day after the initial release of BB, giving an extra day to the movie to perform well on the screens. The film earned over Rs. 300 crores (Gross) Worldwide in its five-day long opening weekend but the flick collection started to fall after Monday.

However, the film had surpassed the overall lifetime earnings of both the films till now.
Minting more than 440 crores till day 12 box office collection, the film remains bit low during the 2nd week. The esteemed response from fans and critics had made it possible to reach new heights with collecting more than 150 crores as domestic collections during the 1st weekend. The 1st weekend goes bit long for more than five days.
The opening day was never bad for Salman Khan from past 4-5 years. The flick performed expectational well on the opening day collecting more than 36.54 crores from the domestic market itself. The average occupancy on the opening day Wednesday was 60% overall.
Not able to his own record in India, Salman Khan successfully fetched the highest ever opening day number in Pakistan with 2.2 cr INR (3.45 cr PKR) and Gulf (1.4 million $) during a single day, the subsequent response from both the regions was positive.
2nd Day came as Eid-Ul-Fitr, which was itself as a lucky day for Salman. Having a holiday on Eid, occupancy remained high in almost every cinema of the country with houseful shows. The positive response was seen from Muslim majority areas. With over 37.3 crores nett as the single day earning, the movie remains first preference for the audience.
On the third day, trade analysts were expecting a downfall, but it doesn’t happen. Despite having a weekday on Friday, the film received a great response from audience all around the world. Since many countries were celebrating Eid on Friday of India.

The Huge response was seen from Gulf, Pakistan and the United States of America. Occupancy reaches 70% on that day most of the times. The movie earned 31.5 on 1st Friday.

The 1st weekend was excellent for the movie, being not as good as Eid’s day. Fickle was still able to earn big figures of 37.1
and 38.21 crores each on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Kabali of Rajnikant and Rustom are on their way to give competition to the movie in the subsequent month. Saturday and Sunday are very crucial as the month doesn’t have any more holidays in range. (Also check: Janatha Garage release date.)

The earnings for 2nd Saturday and Sunday were 11.32 and 13.54 crore rupees respectively. The overseas earnings were fringe. Still, the film able to managed 440 crore gross figure as a collection of Sultan till 2nd Sunday.
The movie is far behind 500 crores gross target and expected to accomplish it by the end of 3rd week. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had earned similar figure earlier.
