Narcos Season 4: When will season 4 of Netflix series Narcos release? Has the network made any date official? Or the news is a plain rumor? Let’s check out in detail along with its cast, plot, trailer, and all news and updates so far. Maybe. Narcos S4 is in the list of pending hit series. But why so? The cause can be the death of location scout, Carlos Munoz Portal.

Portal was shot and found dead in his car like any character in the series itself. The 37-year-old died in Mexico while he was searching for the perfect locations to shoot the new season of the show. Pedro Pascal who plays Javier Pena called his death, a tragic accident and added that the show will only continue if it’s safe.

Actually, there isn’t any full stop placed on the Narcos series. Yes, Netflix has already officially renewed it for season 4. Currently, the death of location manager, Carlos Munoz Portal has put the casting team into the state of confusion. If the filming of season4 goes on, the premiere would probably take place in September 2018 following the history.

July 2018 Update: Production has already started and filming is underway in Mexico City. The stars Michael Pena and Diego Luna have moved from Colombia to Mexico. However, Netflix hasn’t stated anything about the release.

The crime thriller will be resumed and new happenings would be surrounded by the environment of Narcos. Probably, there would be a new drug cartel to see, if it’s a reboot, along with a new team of DEA agents.

The third installment ended with one cliffhanger note where Javier Pena caught the four Cali godfathers and put them behind bars. During the process, he got to see the real depths of Colombia’s corrupt state.

Further, he got to know that the Cali godfathers had put their money to control the Colombian government. They bribed the government and invested their money into the President Ernesto Samper’s campaign. Also, this was done under the nose of the US Ambassador and the CIA.
