Fitoor 7 Days Box Office Collection
Talented director Abhishek Kapoor has been impressive with his movies Rock On and Kai Po Che which have been declared as blockbusters in their final run. The slow pace was not a barrier for both the movies but they collected decent figures at the box-office.
Fitoor Box Office Collections: 18 Crores (Approx.)
Abhishek Kapoor has been dreaming of transforming Charles Dicken’s novel ‘Great Expectations’ from some time but none of the filmmakers have supported his idea. He has taken his time and worked on the script after which he revealed the idea of making a film to Siddarth Roy Kapoor, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures. (Also See: Swaragini)
Siddarth has been completely excited about the happenings and Abhishek impressed Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif with the script of the film. The duo prepared much for the movie before the shoot and the director worked a lot on the characters and their design.
The pre-production work of the movie took over a year and the movie has been titled as Fitoor. The movie has been shot exclusively in Kashmir in extreme conditions to bring the required feel. Aditya Roy Kapoor has been showcased as a painter and Ajay Devgn will be seen in a cameo in the film which comes at a crucial point in time.
Fitoor released during the Valentine’s Day weekend and the movie opened to poor occupancy across the world. The movie collected Rs 3.04 crores on its first day. The movie could not gain strength even during the weekend and Fitoor has been declared as a debacle at the box-office.
Fitoor Collections goes to Rs 17.83 crores in its first week which has been less. Fitoor has been made on a budget of Rs 70 crores and the movie is expected to lose Rs 40 crores in its final run revealed the trade analysts. Fitoor is the biggest debacle in Bollywood in the recent times after Ranbir Kapoor’s Bombay Velvet. Siddarth Roy Kapoor produced the movie on UTV Motion Pictures banner.
I can’t believe this…….
Fitoor is one of my favourite movie ( of katrina kaif)…….
I like katrina’s looks, Aditya’s performance, Tabu’s acting……
Katrina’s that big red painting is very beautiful……
Its unfortunate that Fitoor’s box office collection is only around 20 crores…..
Its a much better film than its box office collection.
Its really a very nice film.
