Balika Vadhu: It was 2008, it came out of nowhere and rooted itself permanently. Yes, we are talking about India’s most followed TV Series, Balika Vadhu. Toral Rasputra in the lead role, the whole show revolves around this girl whose character goes by the name Anandi. The show has reached another milestone. In the past, it has achieved many, but this one is special. This show has become the first TV drama to reach the 2000 Episode mark and is still going strong.

What is so special about this show. It beautifully picturizes the love between a Mother and a Daughter. Then suddenly it brings back the evil practices of India which is child marriages and Sati. It gives a limelight to all out old traditions and also gives us a message on how can we avoid this. It shows how a proper education could change the mindset of the people around us and Anandi is just one small village girl with brave heart who comes forward and changes her entire village. Anandi as a protagonist truly makes the show intriguing and makes the TV audience glued to their TV’s.
