Airlift Final Box Office Collections Report: ̱Akshay Kumar is currently in his best phase in his career. He has been signing back to back films and he is also busy wrapping up back to back films. Many top actors have been left surprised how Akshay is wrapping films in quick succession.

His first movie Airlift released this year and going into the history, a debutant Raja Krishna Menon came up with the concept of Airlift two years back and narrated it to Akshay. The actor was left in surprise and he signed the movie on the spot. He gave enough freedom to Raja Krishna Menon and he wrapped up the work of the movie in a year. After that the makers were in hunt for the suitable cast, crew after which Akshay wrapped up his commitments and came out with the film.
Airlift is about a real incident that took place in Kuwait and is about the biggest evacuation that happened during Iraq and Kuwait war. During this time, 1.70 lakh Indians were evacuated which has been placed in The Guinness Book of World Records. The complete movie has been shot in UAE and Mumbai along with Rajasthan and Delhi.

Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainments, Emmay Entertainments Hari Om Entertainments and T Series produced the movie which released across the world on January 22nd.
Airlift received wide response from the audience and the movie minted huge money in its opening week. The film collected Rs 83.5 crores in its first week all over which is highest among Akshay Kumar’s movies. Nimrat Kaur played the female lead and the movie has been declared as the biggest hit of 2016 till date.
The movie is still running successfully all over and it completed 5 weeks of run which is huge. Airlift collections from India were Rs 130 crores in 35 days across the country. Akshay Kumar is on cloud nine after the success of the film and he signed one more movie in the direction of Raja Krishna Menon.
