Airlift 6th Wednesday Collection sixth week Airlift 41st Day (41 Days) Box Office Business Report: The big release of the year till date, Akshay Kumar starrer which released on the occasion of Republic Day 2016 has done a great business till now. The film based on a real life incident and filled with patriotic feelings outsmarted the sequel of the comedy franchise ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’. Both the flicks were released on the same day. The movie was out on the big screen on 22nd January. It had a total screen count of 2600 in India and 68 in the Middle East. On the opening Friday, it witnessed an average opening of 35% in India where multiplexes did a better job. On Friday, it collected Rs. 12.35 crore.

Saturday was even better for the flick as it experienced growth of 35% as compared to first day. The next day, the talkie grew more and reached at its top. It observed an increase of 45% from day one. On 1st Monday, it again came down to the figures similar to Friday’s.
Then, on Tuesday because of national holiday, the business again increased and collected a sum of Rs. 17.80 crore. Thereafter, the film dropped in terms of business because of the regular working week days. In the first week, it successfully collected a total of Rs. 83.50 crores and became the highest earning film for Akshay Kumar. It suprassed the first week collections of Rowdy Rathore which was 79.8 cr.

However, it jumped back 60% compared on Saturday as compared to previous day’s figures. On 2nd Sunday, the earnings again increased and the day ended with a collection of Rs. 8.26 crore. Including the income of 2nd weekend, the film crossed the milestone of Rs. 200 crores.
The movie managed to earn Rs. 28.79 crores in its second week despite new releases. Thus, it had an extra edge over others. The film again jumped on third weekend as compared to weekdays. Airlift 3rd weekend collection was a total of Rs. 8.41 crores.

Its sixth weekend business made a total of Rs. 20 lakhs. Including 6th weekend, Airlift earned Rs. 128. 35 crores. It is expected that the film will earn Rs. 129 in its lifetime run. Thus, it proved to be super hit.
It’s a victory of content, reviews and word of mouth. At worldwide box office, it had earned Rs. 205 crores so far and became the highest grosser of Akshay Kumar till now.
