Today, Dangal 1st week ended, and its pace was steady in the first weekdays.
In fact, as per the trends and the records it has set till now, it can be said that its hold at the box office record breaking. It has set new records for non-holiday film releases on weekdays. On an average, the morning occupancy was in the range of 40%. A little drop at multiplexes was noted, but the single screens had the similar occupancy. The single screens haven’t noticed much drop. In fact, the occupancy has gone up at some places. In the first two days, the single screens had an average occupancy. It increased later on with the weekend.

Earlier, only the multiplexes drove the film. But Sunday onwards, they saw a massive increase in their shows. Dangal movie is garnering collections in big numbers because of the support of pan-India. You need the support of the whole nation to do business in such a high figures. The latest Aamir starrer is on the same line.

The early trends of the Dangal seventh-day boxoffice collection go up to Rs. 20 cr today. However, the exact figures will be updated at the end of today. One more record which it has created is that it has become the first film to earn Rs. 20 or more in the first six days without an extra holiday.
Till today, Dangal has collected Rs. 176+ cr from the domestic market and close to Rs. 100 cr from the overseas (figures for the first 6 days). With its updated 1st week collections, Dangal will become the second highest grosser beating The Jungle Book lifetime collection record after Salman Khan’s Sultan.
